Personality & Traits
General Overview | Honest to a fault and sometimes blunt, Seven is strong-willed and self-reliant. She's flexible, adaptable to new situations, and highly curious by nature. She is loyal and ethical in her dealings with others and willing to defend those who can't defend themselves. Seven has an innate sense of fairness. Treat her with respect and you'll get the same back. Seven's not one to back down from a fight and it's been said that she lacks the 'fear' gene though it would be truer to say that she is unwilling to accept fear as a limitation to what she can do. She thrives on challenges and new experiences, prefers action to sedentary activities, and is always looking for the answer. She is very much an out-of-the-box thinker who has trouble accepting defeat. To her, defeat just means regroup and try a different tactic. Intelligent and thoughtful. She'll think a problem over rather than go to snap judgement. She is willing to listen. There's a part of her that will always be a teacher who encourages and helps others to grow. At the same time, she is also a natural guardian, which means she is protective of those under her command and those she sees as weaker or in need of her protection. |

Personal History | Everyone born on Alpha Teiidae III are called Kwenarans just as everyone born on Earth is called human. However, they are more commonly named according to where they live. Thus, Seven is Naarasi having been born in Naaras. For more information on the Naarasi, click here. 2339 - Born in Etusivu, Naaras, Alpha Teiidae III 2357 - Entered Starfleet, Attended Starfleet Academy Seven was born on the Kwenaran home world, Alpha Teiidae III, about sixty-four years after the USS Enterprise's historic visit and her world's subsequent acceptance into the United Federation of Planets. That visit ushered in a time of social upheaval with new concepts, such as gender, being discussed in classrooms all over the planet. By the time Seven entered the school system, much more was known, and student life settled down into normal routines though the curriculum had been enhanced to provide students with an understanding of the Federation and its member worlds. Athletic and a bit of an adrenaline junkie, Seven was very smart but ultimately proved unsuitable for the scholarly and academic pursuits favored by her family. Seven enjoyed spending time with others, made and kept friendships, but was unwilling to form any sort of a long-term commitment. Thus, there were dates, sometimes for as much as a week or two at a time, and while they parted friends, they did part. It became clear to the family as Seven reached the end of her school years that her eye was set on Starfleet. |

Service Record | 2357-2362 - Starfleet Academy, Security Major, Command Minor 2362-2363 - USS Faraday, Security Officer, Asst. Chief Security 2363-2368 - USS Faraday, Chief of Security, Second Officer 2368-2370 - USS Faraday, Acting First Officer 2370 -Now - USS Andromeda, First Officer At the Academy, Seven lived and studied in an environment where a single sex species was an oddity and not the norm. While she excelled at her studies and the hard athletics that went along with a Security major, she struggled to understand the mechanics behind these new interpersonal relationships. Things that were obvious to everyone else were meaningless to Seven. Fortunately, her instructors understood this and gave her additional training. And while it took months for Seven to begin to understand the emotional dynamics, she was learning and because she understood that this would be an important skill to master, and by request, she continued the additional lessons throughout her years at the Academy. This left her with less free time than most but she considered it a price worth paying. At graduation, she was assigned to the USS Faraday. Difficult at first, life became easier once the male members of the Security team understood that Seven neither asked for nor gave quarter. In all respects, she expected to go head-to-head with her male counterparts and within a few weeks, was generally considered 'one of the guys'. Seven worked hard and was cited twice for courage under fire and recognized for her strong tactical aptitude. Promotion seemed inevitable and within a few months, Seven was promoted to the Assistant Chief of Security. When she was promoted to Chief of Security and then, almost immediately, Second Officer, Seven was again thrown into a time of change where she needed to both learn the job but also to temper friendships with the distance required to be in command. In the role of Security Chief, Seven began implementing changes to training routines, to patrol schedules on the ship, and through those changes, made improvements in the overall performance of the department. It was all a bit awkward for a while, but slowly, over time, the department heads that were once so far above her became individuals that she knew and was friendly with. Around the time, Seven was promoted to First Officer, the ship was assigned a patrol route that put her in a less traveled area where piracy was commonplace. She began investigation and tracking a highly organized network of pirates and in that, Seven excelled. Under her command, away teams explored hideouts and warehouses and pieced together the details of the network. The Faraday became instrumental in taking down the network and in the rescue of an ambassador who was being held by the pirates. The ship was heavily damaged in its final battle with the pirates and was forced to return to Utopia Planitia where it was decided to retire the ship and to distribute the crew to other vessels. |
