There are 114 Mk III vessels and 283 Mk IV (original exterior) still in service. The interior has been renovated with more modern aesthetics, but is still the same size as it was when the class was built in the 2280s, as are the quarters. With more modern equipment, however, the space saving has resulted in additional crew amenities, including holodecks, theaters, gyms, a pool, and several themed lounges to help crew relax when off-duty.
